We are very fortunate that God blessed us with Neem. In Ayurveda, Vrana (Wound) has stated as tissue destruction and discoloration of viable tissues due to various etiology. In Sushruta Samhita, Sushruta describes Vrana as a main subject. Most commonly Vrana can be classified into Shuddha (Chronic wounds) and Dushta (Non healing wounds). In Ayurveda Neem is known as a Vranaropaka which means ‘Wound healing agent”. Vranahara property of Neem helps to cleanse and heal wounds quickly.

Neem is an excellent wound healer that helps the body to rapidly create collagen to close the wound. Neem oil is a powerful antibacterial, antifungal, anti inflammatory and also strengthens the body’s overall immune responses.

Neem oil has high content of fatty acids like Margosic acid, Glycerides of fatty acids, Butyric acid and trace of Valeric acids which build collagen, promote wound healing and maintain the skin elasticity. Neem oil activates Cicatrisation by increasing cell multiplication and the Fibroblast. Neem oil even helps hair follicles to regenerate.

Apply nicely on the affected skin areas with gentle pressure in circular motion till it gets absorbed in the skin. For the best and faster results apply it twice a day at 12 hours interval. In acute and chronic conditions it should be applied four times a day at the intervals of four hours.
